Devolver Digital and developer Free Lives have pulled GORN out of Early Access today. The game is now a fully fledged release for SteamVR and Oculus devices. If you don't already know, GORN is a cartoony but violent gladiator sim. You are pitted against NPCs as you utilize physics based combat and weapons to beat your opponents into a pulp, quite literally.
GORN spent roughly two years in Steam Early Access and ended up being one of the top ten games for VR as far as sales are concerned. At least, that's what they're telling me. I don't have insight into the sales figures of this or any VR game to personally verify this claim. I do know that it was rather popular though, so there's probably some merit to that claim.
If you don't yet own GORN, you can pick up the game right now on Steam or Oculus for $19.99 (USD). It looks like the Steam version is currently sitting at a 25% discount until July 25.
