Hype intensifies.

According to Yakuza series producer Daisuke Sato, there will be new information about the next Yakuza title starring Ichiban Kasuga coming on July 10. This was revealed in an interview with Gamebase.com.tw (via Gematsu) held during a launch event for Yakuza 5 on the PlayStation 4.

Specifically, the question was if Kazuma Kiryu would appear at all in the new title. Kiryu being the main protagonist for for the main entries in the Yakuza franchise up until Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.

Here is what Sato in response to the inquiry:

July 10 is about two and a half weeks away. It will be interesting to see who this actress is that Sato will reveal. We already know that they will be the protagonist's partner in the next Yakuza title thanks to a casting call that went out back in March.

Don't forget that Judgment came out last week (or tomorrow for physical copies) on the PlayStation 4. It's a spin-off game from the Yakuza devs at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and it is fantastic.
