Bandai Namco announced that their anime looking Dark Souls-like game, Code Vein, will be released on September 27, 2019. This release date came alongside a new trailer for the action packed title that debuted at E3 2019.
As it stands, Code Vein is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Though it doesn't yet have a Steam page, it sounds as though Code Vein will be released on Steam. These reassuring words came from Rashed Nambro, a community manager at Bandai Namco. Keep in mind, however, that this was said in response to whether or not Ni no Kuni Remastered was coming to Steam or not.
He says that given how long they've stuck with Steam so far, they really don't see them changing that anytime soon. He's not wrong about that either. Bandai Namco has over 60 games available through Steam, plus another 176 (at present) pieces of DLC available for purchase. Hopefully that means we'll see a Code Vein page pop up on Steam sooner rather than later.
This new trailer for Code Vein "highlights the thirst for vengeance the Revenants and the Lost have against each other in a fight for survival against a crumbling world." Sounds like it could lead to some pretty intense encounters, especially with names like "Revenants" and "Lost."
Venture into the land of CODE VEIN and uncover its secrets. Players will be able to craft their own unique character and customize their experience by equipping numerous weapons, items, Skills, and Gifts to accommodate their favorite combat style or gain a competitive advantage against impossible odds. Various A.I. controlled partners will also be on-hand to explore the interconnected world with their own specialized attributes and personalities.
