Guild Wars 2008

ArenaNet announced today the new release of Guild Wars Complete Collection for those looking to experience the original Guild Wars from start to finish. Priced at $39.99, the package includes all three of the game's campaigns: Guild Wars, Guild Wars: Factions, Guild Wars: Nightfall, plus Eye of the North.

In addition, a new patch for the original Guild Wars went out today that includes some new content and other quality of life improvements.

The patch adds in a new item called the Xunlai Material Storage Expansion. This item can be purchased up to nine times in game for $7.99 each. Each purchase increases the capacity for material storage by 250 items up to a maximum of 2,500 items.

Other improvements in today's update include updated AI for skill usage by Heroes, Henchmen, and monsters. In addition, new runes were made available that increase inventory bag slots.

There's a bit more to today's update. You can find the full patch notes at the official Guild Wars Wiki. I might have to fire up the game again. I used to really love playing the original Guild Wars about 11 years ago (when the cropped screenshot at the top was taken).
