Jon Shafer, a designer that worked on Civilization V is about ready to release his latest creation next week on January 23. It's called At the Gates and it is, as you may expect, a new kingdom building game.
At the Gates will hit digital storefronts like Steam, the Humble Store, and the official At the Gates website for $29.99 (USD) (plus 10% launch week discount). When it releases, players will assume the role of a dark age lord that aims to build a kingdom to replace the Roman Empire. You will be able to manage clans, explore your environment, harvest resources, and build up a thriving economy and military. Sounds like a real walk in the park, yeah?
It won't be easy.
