  • Thieves Hold Cyberpunk 2077 Documents for Ransom, CD Projekt RED Tells Them to Go F Themselves

    CD Projekt RED revealed today that thieves obtained access to some internal files belonging to the company. Specifically, those files included some documents tied to the early development of the studio's upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077.

    In a statement released on social media, CD Projekt RED stated taht they will "not be giving in to the demands" of the thieves. They also caution fans that the documents are not currently representative of the current vision of the game. Even with that, they caution that fans should try to avoid any information that doesn't come directly from the studio about Cyberpunk 2077.

          Developers shouldn't feel threatened by this sort of thing, it's pretty common to be able to spoil yourself of a game's story before it comes out these days, if information about the game does release some sites will of course report on the details, but for the most part i imagine the people who care, the people who will buy the game, will stay mostly spoiler free.
