A small 22kb update was rolled out to the PC version of Bayonetta today. Included in the tiny update was a new image in the game directory.
The image is a teaser for Vanquish, an action title by PlatinumGames that came out in late 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Fans have been begging PlatinumGames to port the game to PC for quite some time now. It looks like their dreams may finally come true.

by Shawn ZipayBayonetta has a new voice in Bayonetta 3 but the reasons behind the switch are murky.
Back in September 2021, the original voice actor for Bayonetta, Hellena Taylor, put up a string of tweets that seemed to suggest that she would not return to voice the titular character in Bayonetta 3.
Taylor has been the voice of Bayonetta for the English version of the game since the series made its debut back in 2010. At that time, she could not outright say whether or not she was...-

by Shawn ZipayInformation on the long-awaited sequel.
I somehow forgot to post this news last week when it came out, so I'm doing it now because it's kind of a slow day. Bayonetta 3 was recently given a release date of October 28, 2022. This news came alongside a new trailer for the game courtesy of the development team at PlatinumGames.
Those looking to pre-order the game digitally can do so through My Nintendo Store. I am giving you permission to use My Nintendo Store, so use it wisely....-

If this is a remaster, perhaps a different developer would be putting the time and effort into doing whatever patchwork is necessary to have this game run in a stable state at higher frame rates, like what Bluepoint did for MGS3, if it's a simple port such as the recent port of Bayonetta, then Platinum could be doing it themselves. Considering their recent fairly basic ports it begs the question, if the game doesn't easily run at 60fps, would they be willing to put in the additional work necessary, or would it be another Dark Souls? I think most of the cutscenes were pre-rendered so they'd probably get away with leaving those at 30, but are the animations and effects in the game 30 too? Do they need reworking to match the refresh rate?
I love Vanquish and i'd love for this release to be flawless, at around 6 hours long it's not a meaty experience, but in an era where it feels like most games take 20+ hours to get through, a quick visceral shock to the system is more than welcome.
