According to reports coming out of Japan from Kantan Games' CEO, Dr. Serkan Toto, the annual price for the Nintendo Switch's online service will be between 2,000 to 3,000 yen. That is equal to about $17.50 to $26.50 (USD).

That's the price per year. This is a far cry from the roughly $60 (USD) that people pay for Xbox Live and PlayStation Plus per year. This is, of course, not factoring in reduced prices during sales.

Naturally, the prices are subject to change. This price range slated for Japan does not guarantee that it will be the same price in other regions. However, this is the first price we've seen for the service and seems like a very good starting point for those who were concerned about the value after its initial reveal.
