    Mojang announced that the Minecraft movie has been given a release date. That date is May 24, 2019.
    The Minecraft movie will be released on May 24, 2019! The film will also be released in 3D & IMAX.

    Yes, that might seem like a long time away, but it just so happens to be the right amount of time to make it completely awesome. And we all want an awesome Minecraft movie, right?

        Seems risky to me, as far as money making ventures go, wouldn't you want to fast track this while Minecraft is huge?
        It'll probably still be huge in 2019, but money has a tendency to make these sorts of things happen... quicker.
