  • Albino Lullaby Updated with SteamVR Support

Ape Law passed along word today that their psychological horror game, Albino Lullaby, has been updated and released for SteamVR.
BOSTON, MA – APRIL 5, 2016 – Independent studio Ape Law is set to release Episode 1 of the psychological horror game Albino Lullaby as a SteamVR launch title today with the release of the HTC Vive VR headset. The studio, comprised of veterans from Bioshock: Infinite, top-selling indie title Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and the Tomb Raider reboot, will bring their made-for-VR, no jump scares, no gore horror game on launch day to the Oculus on March 28 as well as the Vive on April 5.

“Players are finally getting to experience Albino Lullaby the way it was intended, in gloriously immersive VR. The response has been so positive that we've decided to take it to the next level, by incorporating Vive room scale and hand controllers. Albino Lullaby will have a whole new angle on immersion available to the public as soon as it's ready!” said Justin Pappas, creative director of Albino Lullaby and Founder of Ape Law.

Current Albino Lullaby: Episode 1 Steam owners (purchased before May 28) will receive a key for the Oculus Store by filling out this form: http://www.albinolullaby.com/oculus.

Albino Lullaby: Episode 1 is available from the main lobby of the Oculus Store, or on Steam as part of the SteamVR launch day sale for $9.99 or as part of the Season One Pass for $24.99: http://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamvrlaunch/

    Features of Albino Lullaby Include:

    • The Next Gen of Adventure Games - Player driven pacing, no cutscenes.
    • Transforming Game Space - Mechanical mansion deconstructs around you.
    • Environmental Storytelling - Intricate backstory conveyed through the game space.
    • Different Play Styles - Sneak or gung ho!
    • Episodic Releases - Pay as you go or get a season pass.
    • VR Ready - Built from ground up to play great on the Oculus Rift, Vive and Morpheus.

With a game space that dynamically twists and contorts around you in real time, as you unravel an equally twisted narrative, Albino Lullaby shows that horror can be scary without jump scares or gore. Escape a surreal, psychological nightmare set in a dark and macabre Victorian town that clings to the precipices of underground cliffs. Discover hidden spaces haunted by 'The Grandchildren' and uncover clues to understanding just where and what you are.

Migrate now before it's too late.

If you haven't yet migrated your Oculus account to a Meta account yet, the clock is officially ticking. Meta announced that those who fail to migrate to a Meta account by March 29 will lose access to previously purchased games, in-app content, achievements, and store credit.

This migration has been available for a long while now. The name change from Facebook to Meta took place in 2021 and with it came an announcement that they are also...

Forefront 1.0 Released on SteamVR and Quest
      by Shawn Zipay
Virtually engage in virtual warfare with 32-player battles.

Forefront is a brand-new large-scale VR shooter that supports up to 32-player battles. Today, the 1.0 release of Forefront arrives on SteamVR, Meta Quest, and Pico for $27.99. A PlayStation VR2 release is planned for later this year.

I've seen Forefront described as a Battlefield VR clone, though I don't know how accurate that actually is. The game does feature 16v16 battles in levels that are semi-destructible....
