Alex, who first showed up in Street Fighter III, has been added to the Street Fighter V roster today. His return goes hand in hand with an update that rolled out earlier this week. The update included Challenge Mode, Online Rematch options, Battle Lounge improvements, 8-person lobbies, and various bug fixes.

Capcom is also offering up a thanks and an apology for fans that stuck with them through Street Fighter V's rough launch. They are offering the Ryu and Chun-Li Story Mode costumes available to everyone for free. They say that it's an 80,000 "Fight Money" value there.
