Nintendo of Europe confirmed that about 320 employees have been laid off, or will be laid off, this week alone.

That number includes 130 full time employees and 190 temporary workers from Nintendo's Germany based localization department. The 320 employees affected by these layoffs will be out of a job by August 31.

This comes a few months after Nintendo of Europe laid off an additional 130 people as part of its restructuring plan. The layoffs this week will push Nintendo to reorganize their localization department and may farm their translation efforts out to third party companies as is needed.
