A rumor from George Broussard says that Konami has shut down Kojima Productions LA. With this potential closure, some 35 jobs have just been lost.
The rumor is just that, a rumor for right now. Carbine Studios, the development studio owned by NCsoft and developer of the recently released MMO WildStar has reportedly laid off about 60% of its entire studio. This comes from part of a larger "restructuring" by NCsoft West.
The layoffs affected all levels of employees at Carbine. The only ones not impacted by the layoffs were ArenaNet.
