New Unreal Tournament Game Teased by Mark Rein and Epic

Moments ago, Epic's Mark Rein took to Twitter to hype up a possible new entry in the Unreal Tournament franchise.

In addition to Rein's hype, Epic's Paul Meegan shared some additional information on his Twitter account.

If you're a Twitch user (and by now, most gamers probably are), you should probably "Follow" the Unreal Engine Twitch page so as to be alerted the moment they go live on Thursday at 2PM (ET), just in case you forget.

You now have permission to be cautiously excited for what may be revealed next Thursday!

  I can wait for the reviews post-release. Xonotic satisfies the arena shooter/mutator cravings for me.

  I wonder if big crazy shooters like this can be popular again, i always wanted to love Unreal 3 but everybody attached mods to their servers and i just wanted to play the game as it was supposed to be.
  
  I did keep coming back to 2004 though.

Epic Games announced that they are co-developing a new Unreal Engine 4 Unreal Tournament. Epic's Mark Rein revealed that the new game will not be "free to play," rather it will simply be "free."

Unreal Engine 6 Announced via Rocket League Teaser

Even Epic wants you to forget about Unreal Engine 5.

Psyonix, a development studio under the Epic Games umbrella, just posted a teaser of an updated version of Rocket League that they've been working on. Though it isn't the long-awaited Unreal Engine 5 updated that fans had wanted, it is instead a version of the game running on Unreal Engine 6.

This very surprise announcement of Unreal Engine 6 was not accompanied by the usual big technical showcase from Epic Games....
