It's official, Microsoft will release the Xbox One in Japan on September 4, 2014. This is according to Microsoft Japan by way of Famitsu.

According to the publication, Microsoft Japan has confirmed that 48 companies have expressed an interest in releasing titles for the Xbox One in that region. Some games that seem to be included for the system's launch in Japan include Forza Motorsport 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, Sunset Overdrive, Halo on Xbox One, Dead Rising 3, and Ryse: Son of Rome.

Some of the studios interested in working on Xbox One games for Japan include (but are not limited to) Square Enix, Namco Bandi, From Software, Yukes, Ubisoft, Level-5, EA, SNK, Atlus, Capcom, and many more.
