  • Batman: Arkham Origins Developers Say They Will Not Work on Fixing Game Breaking Bugs, Focusing Instead on DLC

You can't make this up. Alright, you could make it up but nobody would believe a developer was this ballsy, right? It seems as though Warner Bros. Montreal is making it clear that the company has NO plans to release a patch to address many reported bugs and are instead focusing their development efforts on DLC.

As in, that is what they literally said to upset consumers.
The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums.

If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed.

Those are the words said by the Community Manager on their forums.

It is especially bad for those on the Wii U because the company announced recently they won't even bother with releasing the DLC on that platform.

Consumers are, understandably, quite upset at this revelation from the studio. Many are already pushing fellow gamers to not purchase any of the upcoming DLC until the company addresses the bugs with a new patch. This is almost the exact opposite scenario of what DICE did with Battlefield 4 DLC. Yeah, think about that!

Yeah, except DICE hasn't fixed the bugs either, and ONE of the platforms already has DLC that the others don't.

At least DICE has the right idea, even if in practice it hasn't panned out (yet). WB/Rocksteady doesn't "get it," which is surprising as you'd think they'd look at Battlefield 4's issues as a reason to clean up their own act.

The fact that either game was allowed to ship in such rushed states is shameful.

Rocksteady did not work on Arkham Origins at all.

They don't deserve any blame for this as it falls squarely on Warner Bros. Games Montreal and (probably) WB Interactive Entertainment, the publisher.

My bad, I'll be honest when I say haven't followed Origin at all, except hearing of its release issues. Its a relief to hear that though - I know its a great studio.

What they really need to be doing is re-releasing Urban Chaos :P, not sure i'd want Rocksteady to spend their time making a new one since alot has happened in first person shooters since Riot Response, unless they wanted to of course.
