In 2016, PhantomL0rd was found to be involved in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive bet rigging and being an undisclosed partial owner of CSGOShuffle, a skin betting website.

Sorry, I meant to say that he was allegedly a total douche canoe that scammed numerous people out of money by lying to them. To make a long story short, PhantomL0rd was banned from Twitch after news broke about his "allegedly" douchey actions.

Fast-forward now to 2018 and PhantomL0rd is now suing Twitch for "breach of contract, intentional interference with contractual relations, and intentional and negligent misrepresentation in removing him from their platform." Basically, he's running out of money and he's throwing a Hail Mary.

According to dotesports, the lawsuit fails to mention that Twitch clarified its rules on July 14, 2016. The updated rules, at that time, said that any content which breached Valve's rules (this includes skin gambling using the Steam API) would be in breach of the terms of service. James "PhantomL0rd" Varga was banned on July 19, 2016.

Ooooh. Ouch! Uh, good luck on that PhantomL0rd?

The lawsuit can be read, in full, via Scribd.

Wait let me get this straight. If I'm reading the document right, and to be honest I don't think I am, but did PhantomL0rd hire five lawyers from two different law firms, and none of them seemed to mind that the rules were clarified before the banning happened?

Also, how much money does this guy have to hire two different law firms? I really doubt this is pro bono.

For visibility maybe. They are going against Twitch/Amazon after all.

Don't they have to actually win to gain said visibility? Right now they just seem ignorant and incompetent, despite being professionals in contract law.
