The Invasion update for Team Fortress 2 is here. The update proves once and for all that there is indeed intelligent life in the Team Fortress universe. This update will last for one month and is a special event created by the community.
The Invasion starts TODAY!
For one month only, you can participate in the Invasion Community Update event and receive exclusive cases filled with rare items, weapons, and Unusual effects just for this update! The event runs through November 5th.

Invasion Pass
From now until the end of the event, you can pick up an Invasion Community Update Pass from the Mann Co. Store. Activate the pass to receive an Invasion Community Update Coin, which will track total player kills and player kills on any of the Invaded Maps during the event. After the event, the stats on the coin will be locked. All proceeds from the sales of the Invasion Community Update Pass go directly to support the Invasion Community Update Team!

Space Cases
Players who own an Invasion Community Update Coin will also receive exclusive Invasion cases as random drops. All cases require a Invasion Community Update Key to open.

Proceeds from the key will be shared between Valve and the Invasion Community Update Team.

The update includes four new community-created maps:
  • 2Fort Invasion
  • Watergate
  • Probed
  • Byre

It also includes new weapons and new cosmetics. It also includes an alien that bursts out of your chest. I think that's from the movie Predator or something.
