Since the Dota 2 Compendium for The International went on sale, it has sold like gangbusters. Valve revealed today that contributions have already set new records compared to previous years.
The International Compendium was launched Friday and, within 24 hours, eclipsed the total contribution of last year's debut effort. As a result, this year's total prize pool is already over $3.8 mil, up from $2.8 mil last year, with Compendium sales continuing for another two months.

The Compendium was first introduced last year for The International as a method for the community to drive up the prize pool beyond Valve's $1.6 mil contribution by purchasing select items, from which a portion of the proceeds was added to the player prize pool.

To be held July 18th - 21st at the KeyArena in Seattle, WA, tickets to the event were made available late last month and sold out in less than one hour.

You can pick up your own copy of the Compendium through Dota 2 or the Dota 2 website. At the time of this posting, about $130,000 remains between the current amount and the level 9, $4 million goal of a Mini-Pudge courier.
