Metro Exodus is Back on Steam and at 40% Off

525,600 minutes...

Last night, perhaps when you were snuggled up under your blankets, a little miracle happened. It was in the midnight hour (ET) when Metro Exodus returned to being sold on Steam. Normally, this isn't quite the monumental occasion, but it certainly is in the case of Metro Exodus.

It was Metro Exodus that really kicked off the season of the Epic Games Store exclusive. This was a period in which a fair number of games that were slated to be released on Steam,...

Geoff Keighley to Skip E3 for First Time as Troubles Mount for Dying Trade Show

This comes the same day the exhibitor list was leaked.

Geoff Keighley, creator of The Game Awards, revealed today that he will not be attending E3 2020. His decision to not attend this year's event will mark the first time in 25 years that the industry veteran will not be in attendance. It also means that he will not host the annual E3 Coliseum show. This was a regular event where Keighley would host a series of game developers in a rather informal Q&A, allowing them to talk freely...

The Division 2 Warlords of New York Expansion Confirmed

A dangling plot thread from the first game is finally going somewhere.

Ubisoft has officially announced the Warlords of New York expansion today for Tom Clancy's The Division 2 (affiliate link btw) after details about it leaked yesterday evening. We now know for certain that this expansion launches on March 3. We also know for certain that players are returning to New York, specifically four new named zones in Lower Manhattan.

In today's announcement, Ubisoft confirmed...

Anthem is Finally Getting a Massive Overhaul

BioWare officially announces their plans to make major changes.

Anthem as it currently exists is hanging on by the most tenuous of threads. Despite apparently being one of 2019's top selling titles, at least according to data shared by The NPD Group, the player base is next to non-existent. It would take a significant amount of work to get players interested in the game once again, which is apparently what BioWare has been working on behind the scenes for a little while now.

Dan Houser Leaving Rockstar

The Rockstar co-founder to leave after over 20 years with the company.

Dan Houser is the co-founder of Rockstar Games. He's been with the studio since the studio first began operations back in 1998. After taking an "extended break" starting Spring 2019, Houser will officially part ways from the company he helped build.

Rockstar parent company, Take-Two Interactive, made this news official with a brief report to the United States Security and Exchange Commision....

THQ Nordic Just Held a Q&A on a Site Banned for Child Exploitation

Since then, the company has issued an apology saying that they did not do their "proper due diligence to understand the history and the controversy of the site." They're full of shit.

A bit earlier today, THQ Nordic's PR team of Philipp Brock and Reinhard Pollice thought it would be a grand idea to host a Q&A (otherwise known as an "Ask Me Anything" or AMA) on 8chan. For those happily unaware, 8chan has been involved in multiple instances of child abuse, child...

  • Horror Game Devotion Pulled from Steam Following Winnie the Pooh Uproar

Horror Game Devotion Pulled from Steam Following Winnie the Pooh Uproar

A new horror game that released just six days on Steam, Devotion, has been pulled from the distribution platform. The game was pulled without warning but it wasn't done by Valve. It was pulled by the game's developer, the Taiwan based studio Red Candle Games.

Though the game is only temporarily removed (more on that later), it was done following a rather hellish few days for the studio. The game has been relentlessly review bombed by a number of irate Chinese citizens and, quite...

  • Sales Figures for Anthem are Half Those of Andromeda in UK

Sales Figures for Anthem are Half Those of Andromeda in UK

As far as physical retail sales go, Anthem was the best selling game in the UK in its first week of release.

That's the extent of the good news.

The bad news is that it sold roughly half of the total number of units BioWare's previous title sold in its first week. That's right, Mass "My Face is Tired" Effect Andromeda outsold BioWare's latest and, er, let's just leave it at "latest."

Digital sales for these titles are not included...

First Look at Upcoming Dead Cells DLC

Motion Twin released a lengthy new video today that kind of goes through the history of Dead Cells development. Included in this 12 minute long video is a look at the very first iteration of Dead Cells, which apparently began life as a "really boring" multiplayer strategy game.

From there, the video goes on to show the evolution of the game and talk about how the studio had about a year's worth of funding left before they ran out of money. Also included in the video...

Rumor Suggests Forza, Halo, or Gears of War is Coming to Nintendo Switch

According to a new report from Jeuxvideo.com, Microsoft may bring one of their high-profile franchises to the Nintendo Switch. The problem is, they don't really state which franchise they may bring over. Right now, they currently suggest that it could be an entry from the Forza franchise, or Halo, or even Gears of War. They also don't know if it would be a port of an older title, a new title, or a port of an Xbox One title.

It is also being suggested that Rare titles could find...

    Anthem Officially Launches Today

Despite the game being available now since February 15 under some circumstances, today marks the day in which Anthem has "officially" been released. While Origin Access and EA Access subscribers have already had a chance to play and, in some cases, "complete" the game, this will be the first time most players will get to dive in.

Today's release is accompanied by the "day one" patch, which we already provided the changelog for the other day. Anthem...
