  • Nvidia DLSS 3 Support Coming to Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Red Dead Redemption, and More

More titles are about to support Nvidia technologies.
Four characters standing in a wild, fantasy setting with a floating ringed building in the background.

This week is kind of packed as far as game releases are concerned. Hell, this entire month has been rather stacked for game releases. All these new releases mean that at least some of them support various Nvidia technologies like DLSS 3, Nvidia Reflex, and some ray-tracing options.

This week's game releases supporting some or all of these Nvidia technologies include Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Red Dead Redemption, and Torque Drift 2.

As far as I can tell, support for these games does not require another new Nvidia driver update. So long as you're on the current driver (566.03) you should be good to go.

    • Dragon Age™: The Veilguard: Rise as Rook, Dragon Age’s™ newest hero. Be who you want to be and play how you want to play as you fight to stop the gods from blighting the world in Dragon Age™: The Veilguard.. When BioWare and Electronic Arts’ Dragon Age™: The Veilguard launches on Oct. 31, you’ll be able to accelerate performance with DLSS 3, and enhance image quality and immersion with ray-traced reflections and ray-traced ambient occlusion. On GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards, DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution multiplies performance at 4K by an average of 2.5X, with ray tracing and other settings maxed using the Ultra preset. For those that may not have the latest hardware, Dragon Age™: The Veilguard will also be available to play at launch in the cloud on GeForce NOW. To celebrate the launch of the game coming to GeForce NOW, we’re giving those who purchase a 6-month Ultimate membership by October 30th Dragon Age™: The Veilguard for free at launch.
    • Horizon Zero Dawn™ Remastered: Those looking for a more familiar adventure with stunning new visuals and upgraded features, be sure to try Horizon Zero Dawn™ Remastered when it launches Oct. 31. This multi-award-winning action role-playing game brings to life the beloved wilds of Aloy’s world in even higher fidelity with the power and potential of PC gaming. GeForce RTX gamers can accelerate performance with DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution, make gameplay even more responsive with Reflex, and max out image quality with DLAA (which can be used in concert with Frame Generation). We have also launched our Horizon Zero Dawn™ Remastered GeForce Game Ready Driver, getting your system ready for the game, which is also available as a $10 upgrade for owners of the original Horizon Zero Dawn™ PC release.
    • Red Dead Redemption: For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning, new detail, with both Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie-horror companion story, Undead Nightmare, arriving on PC later today. In collaboration with Double Eleven, Rockstar Games’ new release adds PC-specific enhancements including adjustable draw distances, shadow quality settings, native 4K resolution rendering at up to 144 FPS / 144Hz on compatible hardware, monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), HDR10 support, full keyboard and mouse functionality, and more. There’s also day-one support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution, and NVIDIA Reflex.
    • Torque Drift 2: This ray-traced racing game from Grease Monkey Games now includes support for DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution, as well as NVIDIA Reflex. Torque Drift 2 is an immersive motorsport game set in an alternate reality modern-day Japan, which builds upon the well-received Torque Drift 1 and years of community feedback from the first title to deliver a skill-based drifting game. Using Torque Drift 2’s newly-added DLSS 3 and Reflex upgrades, GeForce RTX 40 Series gamers can multiply performance with every setting maxed while the hardest races become easier through more responsive latency.

RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and New Game Ready Driver Released by Nvidia
      by Shawn Zipay
The new Nvidia 50 Series has officially launched.

The Nvidia RTX 50 Series is here with today's launch of the GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080. Naturally, the cards all seem to be sold out already across online retailers and brick-and-mortar stores. This was probably expected because it basically happens every single time. You could always just hit up sites like eBay where you'll see either scalpers attempting to sell the card at a hefty premium, or you'll find people selling...

Nvidia also addresses one of the main complaints users had during the beta.

Nvidia just officially released DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution to all Nvidia app users. DLSS 4.5 introduces an updated "2nd generation" transformer model for use with DLSS Super Resolution.

There was some initial confusion on how best to utilize the new Preset models within DLSS 4.5, but today's official release eliminates any confusion. If you set your "DLSS Override" option to...
