  • New Call of Duty 'Ghost' Gunnar Optiks Include Special In-Game Item

Get some new specs and an in-game item.

Gunnar Optiks and Call of Duty just announced a new collaboration that not only offers up a pair of Call of Duty-themed glasses but also a special in-game item. The new Call of Duty Ghost Glasses were released early in the day on October 30th at prices starting at $74.00.

The Call of Duty Ghost Glasses sports "a military aviator-inspired frame made of a premium polymer material, stainless steel temples, and sturdy multi-barrel hinges with two lens options." The lenses offer "p 0.2 diopters of focusing power, a wrap-around frame design, and a premium G-Shield lens coating to reduce reflections and prevent smudges."

There are two lens options available with these glasses: Gunnar's "iconic" amber lenses and their new "state-of-the-art Amber Sun-Shift lenses" that transition from amber to a sunglass tint in just a few seconds.

As is the case with most pairs of Gunnar glasses, the amber tint lenses help to filter out blue light, such as from computer monitors. This helps to prevent you from experiencing dry eyes, eye fatigue, and headaches.

Dimensions for the Call of Duty Ghost Glasses can be seen below:
    • Lens Width: 56 mm
    • Lens Height: 50 mm
    • Nose: 15 mm
    • Frame Width: 136 mm
    • Temple Width: 145mm
    • Weight: 1.05 oz (without packaging)
Included with each purchase is a collector's glasses case, collector's microfiber pouch, collector's microfiber cleaning cloth, and a 12-month warranty.

Perhaps more tantalizing for the hardcore Call of Duty players is the fact that these glasses also include access to a special in-game item. The in-game item is a "mystery crate" weapon charm.

This new collaboration with Call of Duty comes just a couple of months after the announcement for Gunnar's Fallout Vault 33 Glasses.

Know what they say about people with big heads, right? They need bigger glasses.

As someone with a larger head and who has spent several years wearing prescription glasses, I know the struggle of finding eyewear that fits. If you have a larger head size, "standard" fit glasses are often a recipe for a tension headache, pinching your temples just enough to be annoying after an hour and painful after four. GUNNAR has finally addressed this segment of the market with their new ...

Amazon Studios Fallout Glasses are Back in Stock at GUNNAR
      by Shawn Zipay
Now you can more clearly watch the TV series.

There was apparently a collaboration between the Amazon Studios Fallout series and GUNNAR. This collaboration saw Fallout Vault 33 branded blue light blocking glasses being sold from GUNNAR. Also apparently, there was an initial stock of these glasses that sold out at some point. I assume the collaboration began before the TV series first aired at Amazon.

If you are like me and missed that initial run, fret not because apparently...
