Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Does Away with Prestige Levels

New progression system details revealed.

A new blog focused on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went up today that talks about the progression changes that were made for this year's release. First off, there are no more Prestige levels. Players will be able to earn 55 base levels and 100 additional Officer Ranks in each season of play.

This news comes hot on the heels of word that Modern Warfare is doing away with paid map packs and loot boxes.

Each weapon now also has 100 earnable camo patterns and an average of 50 attachments. You...

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

Blizzard Issues Insultingly Pathetic Statement About Blitzchung Suspension and Reasoning

The cowards just doubled down.

Taking a page from politicians and businesses that know late on Friday is the best time to release news that you are positively ashamed to share, Blizzard has finally issued a statement about the recent ban on Blitzchung and two Hearthstone casters.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Scales Between 30 and 60 FPS on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

On the old generation of consoles, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Activision states that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will scale between 30 and 60 frames per second. That is absolutely horrific. Anybody who has experienced it can tell you that jumping between 30 and 60 fps in a competitive shooter is an incredibly unpleasant experience. At the very least, they are saying that the framerate for the Zombies mode will be locked to 30 fps. Just a moment though, because it gets worse. Activision also said that the game will not feature Theater Mode on the old console...

Treyarch Apologizes for Stupid Twitter PR Blunder

A couple of weeks back, the Call of Duty Twitter made a super stupid PR move when they put up fake news that, let's be honest here, was a little too real for most people's liking.

Neither Treyarch nor Activision ever made public apologies for the big PR blunder. However, Treyarch's Jason Blundell did say that he was "personally very sorry" about the entire mess.

Entire Black Ops 3 Campaign Unlocked from the Start

Hate linear progression through your games? Good news if you're looking forward to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 then, because the entire campaign will be unlocked from the start. Say whaaaat? You heard me!

This news comes courtesy of a Eurogamer interview with Jason Blundell, the Director of Campaign for Black Ops 3.
"It gives them the flexibility to consume the content how they want," Blundell said. "The unlocking level system is an archaic mentality we've had since we did bedroom development back in the day - you do this, then go on to th

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Reportedly 45GB on Consoles

Moments ago, the Microsoft Store listed the download size for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It looks like the game will require about 45GB of storage space on the Xbox One. I would assume that the PlayStation 4 version is also about the same size.

It does not look like the size is still up on the Xbox page, at least for the US store.

  • The Call of Duty Twitter is Now Impersonating the News and That's Probably a Bad Thing

The Call of Duty Twitter account decided to become the "Current Events Aggregate" for the time being. Undoubtedly, this is a weird social media promotion for the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and probably a new trailer. You know that and I know that, but does everyone on the Internet know that? Of course not, which is where this could become an issue.

People tend to believe a lot of what they read on the Internet. You would think that someone at some point said, "hey, maybe this is a bad idea," but apparently not. The Ca...
