Modern Warfare gets a new map.
Call of Duty Talon

Update (March 24, 2020 at 7:18PM ET): The official Infinity Ward Twitter says that this update has been delayed a bit. It will now arrive "in the coming days" and not tonight as originally stated.

Original: The latest Call of Duty focused entry from the Activision Blog details some new content that just dropped for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. First off, we see that Modern Warfare gets the new Khandor Hideout map. This is a 6v6 medium-sized map set in Urzikistan. It has "long sight lines and interior spaces to complement diverse combat ranges." A warehouse at the center of the map is great for those who enjoy CQB while the surrounding lanes are prime sniping spots.

Both Warzone and Modern Warfare will get a new Operator. Talon is a new playable character fighting for the Coalition. You can get your hands on Talon along with two Legendary weapon blueprints and two tier skips by purchasing the bundle via the in-game Store. He will then be made available in both Modern Warfare's multiplayer modes and Warzone.

Specific to Warzone are the addition of four new weapons: 725, MK2 Carbine, .50GS, and the EBR-14. They will be added to the loot pools across the map of Verdansk. Players will be able to find them drop in Common and Uncommon rarities.

The blog also continues on to talk a bit about how the Solos mode for Warzone's Battle Royale continues this week. There is also a note to say that the Call of Duty endowment Defender Pack returns to the Store this week. If you get this pack, which grants you access to content for all multiplayer game modes, you will help support the Call of Duty Endowment. This is a non-profit organization that helps military veterans find high-quality jobs after leaving the service.

The blog continues on to talk about what's new with Call of Duty Mobile and the Call of Duty League. Be sure to check it out if you're into those sorts of things.
