Not bad for a game released three days ago.
Call of Duty: Mobile

Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Mobile has surpassed 35 million downloads across iOS and Android devices. According to the publisher, this game has been downloaded faster than any other first-person or third-person mobile action game. Of course, this factoid is based off of Activision's own internal estimates.

Still, Call of Duty: Mobile was released on October 1, a mere three days ago. To have already hit 35 million downloads is still quite impressive. The game is a free download that has, you guessed it, optional in-app purchases and ads.

The game itself is apparently a mash-up of various Call of Duty universes, including Modern Warfare and Black Ops. The game features familiar maps, modes, and "iconic characters." It has maps like Nuketown 2, Hijacked, and Crash to name a few.

In addition to the traditional competitive multiplayer modes, it also includes a Battle Royale game type if you're into that sort of thing for mobile devices.

Call of Duty: Mobile was developed by TiMi Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games.

"The response from fans across both Android and iOS has been amazing. Already, Call of Duty: Mobile has surpassed 35 million downloads on its way to becoming the #1 ranked iOS app in downloads overall, not only among games, but also among all apps, in 100 countries," stated Rob Kostich, president, Activision. "This is an incredibly fun experience, and we’re only getting started. Congratulations to the teams at Activision and at our partner Tencent’s TiMi Studios for making such a great game for players. And special thanks to our fans for their continued support. There is a ton more to look forward to as we release more content and updates."
