Season 1 begins a few weeks after the game's release.

Battlefield Studios and the newly acquired Electronic Arts have officially unveiled the roadmap for Battlefield 6's inaugural season. It's a season packed with a three-phase content drop that will keep players on the front lines through the end of the year. Season 1, kicking off on October 28th, will introduce a host of new maps, modes, weapons, and even a limited-time event.

Here's a breakdown of what to expect in the first season of Battlefield 6:

Phase 1: Rogue Ops (October 28th)

The first phase of Season 1, titled "Rogue Ops," will deploy on October 28th, bringing with it a brand-new map, a tactical new mode, and a fresh arsenal of weapons and vehicles.

• New Map: Blackwell Fields - This new map will throw players into a large-scale battleground with support for both land and air vehicles.
• New Mode: Strikepoint - A new 4v4, round-based mode where each player has only one life. Teamwork and strategy will be paramount to success.
• New Vehicle: APC Traverser Mark 2 - A new armored personnel carrier to transport your squad and provide fire support.
• New Weapons: The SOR-300C carbine, the Mini Fix sniper rifle, and the GGH-22 sidearm.

Phase 2: California Resistance (November 18th)

The second phase, "California Resistance," arrives on November 18th and introduces another new map, a new objective-based mode, and the return of a fan-favorite feature.

• New Map: Eastwood - A new map that will see players fighting through an affluent suburb.
• New Mode: Sabotage - An 8v8 objective-based mode where one team must plant and detonate bombs while the other defends.
• New Feature: Battle Pickups - Powerful, limited-ammo weapons that can be found on the map.
• New Weapons: The DB-12 shotgun and the M327 Trait sidearm.

Phase 3: Winter Offensive (December 9th)

The final phase of Season 1, "Winter Offensive," will bring a chill to the battlefield on December 9th with a limited-time event and a new melee weapon.

• Limited-Time Map Update: Ice Lock Empire State - A winter-themed version of the Empire State map.
• Limited-Time Event: Ice Lock - A new event centered around a "Freeze" mechanic.
• New Melee Weapon: Ice Climbing Axe - A new melee weapon to get up close and personal with the enemy.
