The Sims 4 to Ditch Legacy Support in December

Say goodbye to the 32-bit version of The Sims 4.

In 2019, Electronic Arts threw a bone to those still running on 32-bit versions of operating systems when they released The Sims 4: Legacy Edition. This was a 32-bit version of the long-running life-sim game that will soon be going away for good. On December 12, EA will pull the plug on The Sims 4: Legacy Edition, meaning that those still playing it will either need to upgrade or go elsewhere.

The silver lining here is that...

FIFA 23 to Bring Back Loot Boxes

    Nobody asked for this.

Electronic Arts confirms that FIFA 23 will keep the tradition of loot boxes alive and well. These randomized bundles will again appear in the form of FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) Packs. These packs can either be earned by playing the game normally or by purchasing with, you guessed it, real world money.

  • EA Suggest Holding 'Healing Circles' Instead of Taking Stance on Abortion Rights

Another studio too cowardly to take a stand.

Electronic Arts is taking quite the cowardly approach to how they are handling a woman's right to abortion and essential healthcare. During a company-wide town hall meeting on May 24, EA management told staff that it could not take a stance on this issue, saying that "being an inclusive company means being inclusive of all those points of view."

That is one hell of a take.

Given the timing of this town...
