A new update for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released on May first specifically for the PC version of the game. This update supposedly tackles some of the title's massive performance and technical issues that were so bad EA had to issue a public statement on the day of the game's release.

Today's update is specific to the PC release of the game. The update says that it offers "performance improvements for non-raytraced rendering."...

If you haven't yet heard, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor came out today and wow is it ever a mess. The game suffers from a myriad of technical issues across all platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and especially PC.

Platforms have exhibited everything from textures and objects taking upwards of 15 seconds to load into a scene, to "Performance" modes on consoles struggling hard to hit 60FPS, dropped frames and inconsistent frame times...

Electronic Arts announced today that they are laying off about 6% of their total workforce as part of a new restructuring plan. On February 28, EA tried to quietly lay off over 200 quality assurance (QA) testers from their Baton Rouge office. These QA testers were primarily working on the Respawn Entertainment developed battle royale game Apex Legends. Electronic Arts announce that both Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile are shutting down. The end of Apex Legends Mobile will happen on May 1, 2023 at 4PM (PT). The date and time that Battlefield Mobile will cease to be was not provided in EA's statement. Furthermore, the studio behind Battlefield Mobile, Industrial Toys, is also being completely shut down.

The Respawn developed sequel is now coming in April.

Delayed, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is. The game, which was originally set to release on March 15, 2023, will instead be pushed back about six more weeks to an April 28th release.

Looks like EA really fumbled this one.

There was a period of about 22 hours where, if you logged into Madden NFL 23, there was a chance your Connected Franchise Mode saves became permanently corrupted.
