At long last, those with recent ATI cards can finally experience the framerate benefits that the Mantle API brings to the table. We're talking about some fairly substantial framerate gains in some cases over DirectX 11.
First off, go pick up the AMD Catalyst 14.1 beta drivers and enable the Mantle API within the Battlefield 4 settings. It's recommended that you do a clean install of these drivers and not simply install over your old drivers. Installing over your old drivers with this release has been known to cause crashes and hangs.
While you're downloading check out some of these framerate benchmarks conducted between DirectX 11.1 and the Mantle API.
There is also a fairly in-depth preview of Mantle over at AnandTech, complete with framerate charts of various single player maps and more.
