  • The Dark Place Invades Phasmophobia with Special Alan Wake 2 Crossover Event

    Well this was an unexpected surprise.
    An image showing a shadowy figure over Alan Wake's desk from Alan Wake 2. This is a teaser for Alan Wake 2 content coming to Phasmophobia.

    Phasmophobia is about to be invaded by a piece of the Dark Place. A newly announced collaboration will see the addition of a special Alan Wake 2 crossover content into Phasmophobia.

    From May 12 through to June 2, "Phasmophobia by Alan Wake" will take place in your favorite ghost hunting title. This limited-time event will be free and will task ghost hunters with unraveling a new chapter from Alan Wake. There will be special in-game rewards and more to discover.

    A reveal trailer was just released.

        God DAMN IT! Ugh, more FOMO work. And it looks like this is Kinetic Games' chance to show off a taste of what their horror revisions will be when they are ready to leave Early Access (formerly known as Horror 2.0). As someone who is trying to complete the game despite being incapable of handling any kind of horror, this will be difficult for me to rush through. I didn't want busy work! The things they do involve figuring out who the ghost is and survive the investigation. And then do it 49 more times! Sigh, I wanted to feel like I'm almost done completing the game, but now this! And it's time-limited?! I don't care if it's a licensing thing, I just don't care for crossovers if the content doesn't get to stay.
