A physical release is also coming.
According to the rather reliable leaker billbil-kun, the release date for the PlayStation 5 version of Starfield may finally be known.
In an article shared on Deadlabs, billbil-kun says that Starfield will release on PlayStation 5 on April 7, 2026. It will release both digitally and physically. This release date on PS5 comes roughly two and a half years after the game's initial release on Xbox Series consoles and PC.
The PlayStation 5 release of Starfield will, according to this leak, be offered in two different flavors. There will be the Standard edition and a Premium edition. According to the leak, the Standard version will cost just €49.99, while the Premium will go for €69.99. These prices are cheaper than what the game launched at on Xbox and PC in 2023. That's probably the smart play here from Microsoft, Bethesda's parent company, given that the release has taken so long to come out.
Pre-orders are allegedly set to open on March 18. As it stands, there have been no official announcements made about the PlayStation 5 release just yet.
A major update for Starfield has also been rumored for several months now. Some were calling it a "2.0" type of update. However, Todd Howard recently told Kinda Funny that Starfield is not getting a huge 2.0-style update. However, he says that there are new updates and new content coming "really soon" and that they will talk about it when ready.

by Shawn ZipaySee what critics are saying about the most anticipated game of 2023.
The first major wave of reviews are in for Starfield and, well, they aren't bad. They're not super great either but they certainly aren't bad.
According to OpenCritic, Starfield currently sits at an average review score of 87% with 93% of all reviewers recommending the game. The scores for this one seem to range from as low as 50% to as high as 100% (or 10 out of 10 to be more specific).

by Shawn ZipayA safe, if not soulless, journey through the cosmos.
Bethesda Game Studios releases are safe. They are familiar. You know almost exactly what to expect when a major new release from them rolls around. They instill a feeling of "I know this game won't be groundbreaking, but I know I'll have fun." Yes, there are some obvious differences, but the heart of each Bethesda game is almost universally the same. The recent release of Starfield is no different. To put it bluntly: Starfiel...-
