A new John Wick action game was announced during yesterday's PlayStation State of Play. The game, in development from Saber Interactive, is naturally based on Lionsgate's franchise of the same name.
The studio says John Wick is being "tailored for mature audiences and currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC." This is going to be a single-player third-person action game that combines John Wick's "gun-fu" fighting with "Saber's proven reputation for creating thrilling gaming experiences that leave players craving more."
This game will obviously star Keanu Reeves as John Wick, a role he's become quite familiar with over the past decade+. The John Wick franchise director, Chad Stahelski, will also be involved in the game's production with Saber Interactive.
Officially, the game's title may end up changing before release. It's currently actually known as "Untitled John Wick Game" but that seems a bit wordy. This John Wick game will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, though a release date was not shared quite yet.
Management is here to serve. Created in collaboration between Saber, Lionsgate, and Stahelski, the new “Untitled John Wick Game” video game will feature an original gameplay narrative set in the John Wick timeline years before the Impossible Task. It will expand on the franchise’s lore during that time with familiar characters fans already know and love, as well as compelling new ones created specifically for this production.
