    Plus, pre-orders are now live.
A man in some sort of a space suit or diving suit looking outfit. The helmet is opaque. The person is holding a futuristic pistol of some sort.

What's this? Not me having to retype this entire news post because he accidentally refreshed the tab and the auto-restore didn't save the draft. Anyway, Cronos: The New Dawn from Bloober Team has a new story trailer out today. The trailer gives some details about the game's story, which is a good thing for a story trailer to include.

Pre-orders for the survival horror game are also now live. You can pre-order the game through Steam and Epic on PC. It's also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A Switch 2 version is also coming but I don't have a store link for that one.

Today's pre-orders opening go alongside word that Cronos: The New Dawn will release on September 5, 2025. Of course you can just spend more for the Deluxe Edition which grants you 48-hours of advanced access, because we're still doing that. A physical release for PS5 only will include some stickers along with in-game bonuses such as 4 pistol ammo and 1,000 Energy. I assume that's some sort of an upgrade currency.

Hey, here's that new story trailer. It's got looks of some cool environments and some story teases. If you're worried about spoilers, maybe you don't watch the trailer that was specifically put out for the purpose of showing some of the story.

The trailer also introduces the concept and secrets of Soul Harvesting, giving players their first real look at the characters they’ll encounter on their journey to the past. “The human race – an anomaly, yet the perfect one…” These chilling words set the tone for the psychological and physical horrors that await players in Cronos: The New Dawn.

Bloober also announced the details and pre-order kick-off for digital and physical editions. Digital pre-orders are now live across the storefronts of all major platforms: PC, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch™ 2. A physical edition for PS5, produced in partnership with Americas physical distributor Skybound Games, is also now available for pre-order at select retailers including GameStop and Amazon.

For preorders on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, players can choose between two editions:
    • Standard Edition ($59.99 USD)
    • Deluxe Edition – which includes 48-hour early access on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S. ($69.99 USD)
On Nintendo Switch™ 2, the game will be available for digital pre-order in the Standard Edition only ($59.99 USD).

A physical edition from Skybound Games for PS5 ($59.99 USD) will include a unique Traveler skin and access to a cache of valuable digital supplies, along with a set of collectible physical stickers inspired by the haunting world of Cronos. PS5 physical editions will include a Standard Edition game disc.

Holding off on this. Silent Hill 2 was hugely successful, certainly from my viewpoint when I played through, but this one is probably much more full of polarizing Bloober weirdness. (Silent Hill 1 will also be great, though).

Yeah, I still don't trust Bloober on their own without having a solid base to build off of as they did with the SH2 remake.
