  • Bloober Shares New Combat Focused Gameplay Trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn

    The one they're making between Silent Hill remakes.
    A person in a full environmental or diving suit aiming down the length of a subway car at some sort of deformed creature.

    Bloober Team shared a new gameplay trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn late last week. This is the studio's upcoming horror-action title set in a post-apocalyptic world. This new trailer shines a light on the game's "brutal combat" as well the unique "Merge" mechanic that "allows the horrifying creatures known as Oprhans to absorb the bodies of their fallen brethren." This allows the creatures to evolve into more violent and deformed variants should you fail to burn them immediately.

    Cronos: The New Dawn is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic for some time this fall. Bloober is also starting to work on the new Silent Hill 1 remake with Konami.

        The official launch trailer is also now available.

        If you plunked down the extra cash for the Deluxe version of Cronos: The New Dawn, you can play the game right now ahead of its "official" release on September 5th. The extra $10 cost brings that total to just $69.99, at least on Steam, which is the going base rate for most games these days anyway. The regular version, releasing in two days, is just $59.99 (again, at least through Steam).
