A rapid-fire four-minute long gameplay overview video is now available for Tempest Rising. This is an upcoming real-time strategy (RTS) game from Slipgate Ironworks and published by Knights Peak.
This video shows a pretty general overview of what players will experience when the full game is released April 24 on Steam. Alternatively, you can start playing on April 17 if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Tempest Rising.
Players are taken to an alternate timeline, to a "battle-scared 1997." The Cuban Missile Crisis went nuclear and from that a "strange, red, electrical vine known as Tempest spread across the planet and changed the course of history, awakening an ancient race lying dormant known as the Veti."
The game features two unique factions and two story campaigns. It also features original music from Frank Klepacki, the composer on Command & Conquer.
Lead the highly mobile, advanced peacekeeping corps of the Global Defense Forces or the hard-hitting Tempest Dynasty in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Take full command of the battlefield as you build up your base, lead your armies into combat, and execute bold strategies to emerge victorious.
