Two of RuneScape's core skills just got a level cap bump to 110 today in a new update. Woodcutting and Fletching has been elevated from level 99 all the way up to level 110 for the new cap.
This level cap increase includes the ability to discovery "magical new materials" as well as crafting new Masterwork weapons, new tools to unlock, and "exciting new skilling opportunities." There are new Eternal Magic trees in an area north of Eagle's Peak for you woodcutters out there. There is a new mechanic, Perfect Cuts, that will let you land a critical strike against those trees to earn some extra experience and a log.
There are also new Enchanted Bird's Nests to collect. These nests will hold unique loot. At level 110, Woodcutting will let you harvest perfect Eternal Magic branches. These branches are needed for crafting the Masterwork Bow. Additional details can be found below.
Aim high on your path to 110 Fletching and upgrade your weapons with fletching workbenches. These powerful new workbenches are used to craft ranged weapons and ammunition, as well as upgrade and submit Eternal Magic weapons to supply the local armies of Gielinor. Level up your Fletching to craft Eternal Magic shortbows and Primal arrows using Eternal Magic logs, and gain the ability to create Primal Crossbows and Primal bolts.
Beyond the increased level caps for Woodcutting & Fletching, today’s update also includes a 110 level cap raise for Firemaking to let players burn Eternal Magic logs, plus quality-of-life improvements for seasoned lumberjacks and newcomers alike, including new smithable hatchets, removable toolbelt hatchets, and balancing improvements to Woodcutting skilling.
