Troy Baker will appear in the next Naughty Dog game, according to GQ. The publication says that Baker signed on to be some part of an unannounced title that Naughty Dog is working on.
This is the kind of news day we're having here, where news about Troy Baker being cast in a video game, one from Naughty Dog no less, is making headlines. Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann says, "In a heartbeat I would always work with Troy." This statement has so far rang quite true for Druckmann given that Baker portrayed Joel in both The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2. Baker was also portrayed Sam Drake in 2016's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
I'm sure whatever Naughty Dog is working on will be revealed in the future. In the short term, Baker has Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming out in December. He's also appearing in Judas, a game by Ken Levine. Ken Levine previously worked with Baker on BioShock Infinite where Baker voiced the main protagonist, Booker DeWitt.
"Troy Baker in Video Game" was the alternate headline I was considering here. I'm still not sure if that wouldn't have been a better headline to pull in those clicks. It probably would have been, but here we are.
