Crytek and Fun World partnered up to add in a classic Halloween treat for Hunt: Showdown 1896. Ghostface (or Ghost Face), the iconic killer from the Scream film franchise, will be added to Hunt as paid DLC on October 24 for $9.99. Ghostface is part of the $9.99 "Ghost Face Rampage" DLC and it will include one Hunter (Ghostface), two weapons, and a tool.
Ghostface isn't exactly ready to go for the 19th century environments that Hunt: Showdown 1896 takes place in, so the team at Crytek made some various adjustments to have him fit in a little better. The design for Ghostface in Hunt is unique and never-before-seen. Lead art director on Hunt, Stefan Heinrich, explains some of the details on the changes.
The character design was interesting to work on as it had to fit into the gritty, dark corners of the 1890s setting that Hunt is famous for. For example, the iconic mask is now a hand-carved wooded mask, weathered and cracked, a tattered, battle-worn duster replaces the robe, and to complete the look, leather holsters and gear have been added, giving him the tools of a 19th century Hunter while maintaining his iconic style. We hope Ghost Face® & Hunt fans enjoy the new DLC as much as we enjoyed designing it.
The upcoming addition to Hunt: Showdown 1896 will mark the fifth game that the character has appeared in, or will appear in. Ghostface (as Ghost Face) appears in Dead by Daylight, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, Among Us, and is also coming soon to Mortal Kombat 1.
