Patch 7 for Baldur's Gate 3 is now available for those on PC. This update is the last major update planned for Baldur's Gate 3, but it still comes packed with new content. Those on consoles and Mac will have to wait until October for this update to roll out.
Some of the highlights of this update were touched upon last week at PAX. Patch 7 adds in new cinematic endings for all you evil players out there. There are also new unique endings if you're playing through as an Origin character. This update also adds in official support for Baldur's Gate 3 mods, complete with Larian's own mod manager that will let you browse and install community created mods.
Following a successful period in closed beta, the launch of today’s modding toolkit marks a key moment for Baldur’s Gate 3, as the community becomes empowered to unleash their full creativity upon the Sword Coast - what could possibly go wrong? Players will now be able to access a range of new mods from within the game, and even try their hands at making some themselves. A full modding Q&A can be found at https://mod.io/g/baldursgate3/r/modding-guidelines.
Also added in this update is a revamped split-screen experience. If playing split-screen, each side will merge when players near each other and then split back apart as players head off in different directions. There are also improvements made to Honour Mode with the addition of new Legendary Actions, bug fixes for Origin character and Dark Urge playthroughs.
The full patch notes can be found on Steam.
Finally, Baldur's Gate 3 is on sale for 20% off through Steam. This sale runs until September 9th.
