  • Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 Release Date Announced at PAX

Assuming a release date of "next week" is good enough.
A reptilian evil character from Baldur's Gate 3.

At a recent panel at PAX West, the head of Larian Studios Swen Vincke announced a release date for Patch 7 for Baldur's Gate 3. Well, he at least narrowed down the release window for Patch 7.

Vincke said that Patch 7 will be released "next week" for Baldur's Gate 3. Given that the PAX West panel took place this past weekend, that means the update will be out this week (September 2, 2024 through September 6, 2024 (unless they do a weekend update...)).

On what day exactly this week the update will be out is still up in the air. Vincke was not more specific outside of saying that it'd be coming within the week.

Patch 7 is setup to be a really great one for those that like to be evil. It adds in new evil endings as well as adding the official PC modding tools. The mod tools in particular have been in alpha and beta testing for a while now. There are also new reactions and interactions for the Dark Urge.

Larian has also said that Patch 7 will be the last major story content patch. There may be additional bug fix updates released and perhaps some tweaks here and there but story content and major new feature additions officially end with this update.

The PC version of the update should be out this week. Sadly, those playing on consoles and Mac will have to wait just a little bit longer, according to Vincke.
