Twitch has decided to reinstate the account for former President Donald Trump after it was "indefinitely" suspended following the events of January 6, 2021. Those "events" being the violent attacks at the US Capitol by Trump supporters attempting to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election.
Today, Twitch has decided that they're alright with having someone like Trump on their platform as they have lifted the ban on the former president and current Republican nominee for US president. A Twitch spokesperson, who issued an anonymous statement to protect their safety, stated Twitch's reasons for the ban being lifted.
