Twitch has banned Donald Trump due to "hateful conduct" that was shown on stream. Twitch says that the ban is temporary and that the offending content has been removed from their services.
According to a report from The Verge, the hateful content was "a rebroadcast of Trump's infamous kickoff rally, where he said that Mexico was sending rapists to the United States." Twitch also reportedly flagged a number of comments at his recent rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
“Like anyone else, politicians on Twitch must adhere to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. We do not make exceptions for political or newsworthy content, and will take action on content reported to us that violates our rules,” a Twitch spokesperson told The Verge.
The Trump campaign launched their page in October of 2019. The account was used to stream various rallies and campaign events. These events most probably included various forms of propaganda, lies, racism, and bullshit.
If you have not yet registered to vote, please do so sooner rather than later. Your vote matters. Don't just be complacent because the polls say that your preferred candidate is "going to win." The only thing that matters is voting. And if you are worried about going to voting locations in November due to Covid-19, mail-in voting is most certainly a viable option. Mail-in voting is also vitally important in locations where voter suppression is alive and well largely due to underhanded actions taken by the GOP.
Obviously this was about four years too late, but it's something.
