It's only been out for five months.
If you want Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League but don't want to spend any amount of money on it, you're in luck. No, I'm not talking about sailing the high seas. I'm talking about a totally legitimate way for you to get your hands on the game that contributed to a $200 million loss for Warner Bros.
Those of you with Amazon Prime subscriptions, and there are many out there, can get a copy of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for free. As part of their Prime Day "sales" Amazon Prime Gaming is giving away a copy of Suicide Squad for free. You have until July 18, 2024 to pick up the game.
Fortunately, if you do not care about snagging a copy of Suicide Squad, Prime Gaming is offering two additional good games during the same span of time. Those other games are Rise of the Tomb Raider and Chivalry 2. According to the Prime Gaming page, it looks the Prime Gaming offers for each game grant you an Epic Games Store code on PC.
Prime Gaming is also offering 43% off of a Luna controller, in case you wanted that? Maybe you can play Suicide Squad on the Epic Games Store with a new Luna controller. I can't imagine a more perfect gaming experience than that combination. If you do play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, you will have a bit more time to wait now for the second season of content.

by Shawn ZipayBecause this was forgotten about last week.
Last week during the PlayStation Showcase, Warner Bros. Games and DC revealed a decently long look at the co-op gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This is the upcoming third-person action-adventure title in development by Rocksteady Studios.
This video shows off parts of the open-world of Metropolis, some enemies, character abilities, traversal, and more. You can play this with up to three other friends or you...-

by Shawn ZipayThis series will offer a deep dive look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Warner Bros. Games and DC kicked off a new series of videos that will offer a deeper look at the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This is the upcoming third-person action-shooter from Rocksteady Studios. It's a game we really haven't seen much of since a delay was announced back in April following a less than favorable response to some of the elements present in the co-op gameplay ...-

by Shawn ZipayMaybe the other games will make up for it.
The January 2025 PlayStation Plus monthly games were announced by Sony. These are the games that will be offered to all PlayStation Plus subscribers starting January 7th.
Sony seems to believe that the highlight out of this month's bunch is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. I think most people would probably disagree with that assessment though. The other major titles being offered this month include Need for Speed Hot...-

by Shawn ZipayThe company even took an impairment charge from the game.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League wasn't a terrible game but it also wasn't what most people would consider "good" either. It was so very not good that it quite negatively impacted Warner Bros. Discovery's latest financial quarter.
According to their latest Q1 financial results, WB Discovery said that its Games revenue declined significantly. All told, the company saw a $200 million hit to revenues...-

It's not all that great either, but it's really not bad. The problem is that a lot of it feels very repetitive when you're doing some of the same mission types, especially escort missions. It's Rocksteady's first GAAS and it shows.
Boss fights are mostly trash.
Story feels real rushed in the last half. I can't speak for anything seasonal/DLC related as I don't care to play the game anymore after finishing the base game's story.
The game is very visually busy in fights.
Combat itself is mostly good though. I also largely enjoyed the characters (well, most of them), their performances, and interactions. Special props to Joe Seanoa, aka Samoa Joe, for his performance as King Shark.
Traversal is alright. For reference I played almost the entire game as Harley Quinn and her grapple was alright. Feels like Cpt Boomerang and Deadshot at least have slightly better traversal mobility outside of fights.
