  • Dozens Upset to Hear of Suicide Squad Season 2 Delay

    For the handful of people still playing.
    Four members of the Suicide Squad, 3 humans and a walking shark, looking out at a giant mechanical tentacle destroying a city.

    Some more bad news today for fans of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Today, the official account posted on Twitter that Season 2 for the game has been delayed.

    The new date for Season 2 is now July 25th. The original date that Season 2 was supposed to begin was July 11th. Undoubtedly, the news is hitting the few hundred people still playing Suicide Squad (at least through Steam).

    Amusingly, the Steam player base is at the highest it's been since launch. This is thanks to the game being 70% off during the Steam Summer Sale at the end of June. The average player count for Suicide Squad prior to the sale was 100 or fewer per day. After the sale, that number quadrupled to around 400 per day.

    Update: Task Force X, we’ll be adjusting the release timing for the next season, #SuicideSquadGame Season 2 will now launch on July 25. Thank you for your patience.

        It still kills me to find out that it was Rocksteady's idea to make this a live-service game with battle passes, cosmetic items, etc.

        The first season will kick off on March 28.

        The first season for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will officially be available on March 28. The first season is the first free post-launch DLC and will be available to all owners of the game at no extra cost. This first season includes a new set of quests that pick up where the main campaign ended, with the four forced saviors of Metropolis being teleported to the Brainiac invaded Elseworld.

        Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League wasn't a terrible game but it also wasn't what most people would consider "good" either. It was so very not good that it quite negatively impacted Warner Bros. Discovery's latest financial quarter.
