Starting May 10th, EA Play subscriptions will cost a little more than it currently does. This information was first shared by GamesIndustry.biz.

According to their report, EA Play's standard tier will increase from $4.99 per month to $5.99 per month. The annual fee for the standard tier will go from $29.99 to $39.99.

Those with EA Play Pro subscriptions will see the price go from $14.99 per month to $16.99 per month. The annual EA Play Pro subscription will go from $99.99 to $119.99. EA Play Pro is a higher-tier of the subscription service that often offers additional in-game rewards to subscribers. It also offers access to the latest Electronic Arts titles the moment they are released.

This price increase goes into effect on May 10 for existing members. Those who are not currently a subscriber to EA Play will already see the new pricing.

Current subscribers are reportedly starting to receive an email informing them of this price increase. GamesIndustry.biz says that they understand "these changes are being made to reflect changes in currency value and to bring fees in line with market value."

Electronic Arts is joining other companies that have increased the prices for their subscription services. In June 2023, Microsoft announced a price increase for their Game Pass subscriptions. Then in September 2023, Sony announced a price increase for their annual PlayStation Plus subscriptions.
