Back in the day, we used to enjoy a decent lineup of gaming tradeshows during the Summertime period. We had E3, we had showcases from Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft. Now? Well, we're not sure. A 10-hour trial for Battlefield 2042 will be available to EA Play subscribers starting on November 12. This deal also includes those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as that Game Pass tier includes EA Play as a bonus perk. Starting tomorrow, subscribers will have access to EA Play's basic tier.

Way back in September 2020, it was announced that EA Play, EA's subscription based service, would be added to Xbox Game Pass at no additional cost. This was originally supposed to happen for PC Game Pass subscribers in December 2020. It was then pushed back into some time in 2021.

EA just launched EA Sports FIFA 21 today to players all around the world. Those with EA Play have already been able to play the game for the past couple of days. This means that over 2.3 million people have already experienced some of the on field action before now.

EA benefits begins on November 10.

In six weeks from today (September 29), EA Play will be added at no addition cost to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits. That just also happens to be the same date in which the Xbox Series X|S will be launched worldwide. It's a hell of a day for Xbox fans out there that just seems to keep getting better and better.

EA announces that their EA Play subscription service will make its Steam debut on August 31, 2020. If you are confused about what EA Play is, you need only remember that it is the new brand name for what were formerly known as EA Access and Origin Access, with Origin Access Premier now being known as EA Play Pro.

The name may sound familiar.

Beginning August 18, both EA Access and Origin Access will be given a new look and a new, unified name. EA plans on calling their subscription services EA Play, a name which should sound familiar to those who have tuned in to EA's own E3 coverage over the past couple of years. Just a note about the new date.

EA had an event planned for this week I believe it was, but circumstances dictate that they move it back by a week. Those circumstances being the decision to allow the world to focus more on protesting police brutality than on something as inconsequential as video games. A wise decision.

EA just announced that they will once again hold their EA Play Live event for 2020. This event will be similar to last year's event, except that instead of having a presentation in front of a live audience, it will be a digital only affair.
