I know what you're thinking, but I can assure you that this is real. Hollow Knight: Silksong now has an official Xbox Store page. Prior to today, the game did not have any such official page for Xbox. Store listings for Hollow Knight: Silksong did already exist prior to today on the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Network, Steam, and on GOG.
What does the appearance of this Xbox Store listing mean for the status of the game? Absolutely nothing or everything, depending on how optimistic you are.
Hollow Knight: Silksong has been in development since at least early 2019. Actual progress on the development for Silksong has been kept very under wraps. Entire multi-year stretches have gone by without any update on Silksong. The last we heard about the game, which was in September 2022, Sony announced that Silksong was also coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Does this appearance of an Xbox Store listing suggest that Silksong may actually be released soon? The answer to that is a firm maybe.
This Xbox Store page going live comes to us courtesy of Wario64, who is one of the first to spot the listing. I'm inclined to believe that Wario64 is not pulling everyone's chain today as even Wayback Machine doesn't have any record of that store page existing before today.
