You have until sunset on Sunday.

Arrowhead Studios just announced a special 50% bonus XP weekend, which is now live and set to end at the end of the day on Sunday, February 18th. This event will reward players with 50% more XP and Requisition for each match played until the end of the weekend.

This is being done due to a recent issue that prevented some players from earning any rewards after a mission. Deputy game director Sagar Beroshi took to social media to say that a fix for the issue is still being worked on. However, all players will get the XP boost, not just those that were/are impacted by the error. Some mitigation measures were already implemented to try to alleviate the issue prior to this weekend's bonus XP event.

Text saying there's a bonus XP event live for Helldivers 2 after some issues did not give players rewards this past week.

Players should be on the lookout for an effect called "Accounting Corrections" while in your ship. If you see that, you know the bonus XP and Requisition effect is working.

In related Helldivers 2 news, the game is currently in the process of setting an all-new all-time peak concurrent player record for a PlayStation release on PC. As of the time of this posting, the peak is 258,433 concurrent players. If the servers manage to hold up over the weekend, you can probably expect to see that number climb even higher.

This peak concurrent player count is now over three and a half times higher than the previous PlayStation PC record held by God of War. God of War on PC saw a peak concurrent player record of 73,529 back in 2022.
