  • Lies of P Hits Huge Sales Milestone

    And that's the truth.
Text: Thank you for 1 million copies sold

The Souls-like set in the world of Pinocchio, Lies of P, just hit a rather remarkable sales milestone. Developer and publisher Neowiz says that Lies of P has officially sold 1 million units globally less than a month after the game's release. This is a huge milestone for a Souls-like that wasn't made by a studio named "FromSoftware" after all.

Lies of P came out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. At release, Lies of P received some quite favorable reviews from critics and fans alike. At OpenCritic, the average for Lies of P sits at 82% across all platforms. Over on Steam, users have pushed it to an 89% positive rating.

"This incredible milestone for Lies of P proves the potential of Korean console games on the global stage,” said Seungchul Kim, co-CEO of NEOWIZ. “The Lies of P project was a challenging endeavor for NEOWIZ and Round8 Studio and we take great pride in what we achieved with this title.”
If you are a fan of these challenging Souls-like titles and are looking for something new? Yeah, I'd recommend Lies of P. It's certainly an original take on the action-RPG genre and one of the best non-From offerings in quite some time. It's available at regular prices of $59.99 (USD) for the standard edition or $69.99 for deluxe.

Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action Souls-like game set in the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat. Once a beautiful city, Krat has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. Play as a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally become human. Lies of P presents an elegant world filled with tension, deep combat and character customization systems, and a gripping story with interesting narrative choices where the more lies told, the more human P becomes. Just remember: in a world filled with lies, no one can be trusted…

I'm enjoying this as much as I find Lords of the Fallen annoying; that is to say, a lot. It reminds me of SteelRising but much more fun.
