The original Red Dead Redemption is out now on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Rockstar Games and Double Eleven Studios have ported the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Western action title to these platforms and can be yours for a price of $49.99 (USD). This one is a digital only release for now, with a physical release coming "soon."

Today's release of Red Dead Redemption also includes the Undead Nightmare expansion which, as far as expansions go, is pretty great. While Red Dead Redemption isn't technically out for either the Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5, the game is still playable through backwards compatibility on these platforms.

Red Dead Redemption on PS4 and Switch are capped to 30FPS and up to 1080p resolution. The PlayStation 4 Pro can get up to 4K resolution and those playing on PlayStation 5 will get a full 4K resolution. Those on PC get a resolution of 0p and 0FPS because the game was not released on the platform.

Today's release does include some bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. This includes the classic Tomahawk, Explosive Rifle, and Golden Gun weapons. There's also the Savvy Merchant and expert Hunter outfits. A Hardcore mode for Red Dead Redemption was also included.
