Well here is something that probably comes as absolutely no surprise to anybody: E3 2024 and E3 2025 are already cancelled. This big revelation came from the Los Angeles City Tourism Board of Communications and shared via ResetEra. The group held their annual meeting that provides updates on tourism businesses for the city of Los Angeles, California.
Included with the meeting was a Regular Meeting Packet (PDF). This is a compilation of details, photos, graphics, and information relevant to the Tourism Board about tourist events in Los Angeles. On page 21 are details about convention sales. Included in these details is a footnote that says "Includes E3 cancellations for 2024 & 2025."
After E3 2023 was cancelled, ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis made no firm commitment to returning in 2024. With the latest information, it's possible that E3 may not return until 2025 at the earliest. It's also entirely possible that E3 is done for good.
Is the plan for E3 to return in 2024?
